FANTASTIC IDITAROD PRESENTATIONS

If you want to wow a crowd or group... If you want to inspire and motivate them... If you want them to enjoy themselves while learning about Alaska’s heritage, then this is for you. Vern Halter is an accomplished musher who presents his story of Alaska and the Iditarod in a provocative fashion that truly captures the essence of the Iditarod and what the Race stands for.

Vern Speaking

These presentations feature a ten to twelve minute opening video filmed on the Iditarod trail and focus on the Dream a Dream Dog Team preparing and racing the Iditarod. These great videos are set to music with voice over commentary. Often the dogs tell their story of the Iditarod Race. They are incredibly fun and educational to watch. Some of the titles are: “RAZ MA TAZ” about our hyper active leader who loves racing the Iditarod Trail; “DOC’s IDITAROD DREAM” a true story about our deaf lead dog; “TROUBLE ON THE IDITAROD TRAIL” about a dog named after her personality.

Speaking Step 3

Vern weaves in the history of sleddogs from early native use ,gold rush era use, the famous Serum Run to Nome during the 1925 diphtheria epidemic; the focus is on the husky.

Speaking Step 4The uniqueness of the Iditarod from the standpoint of length, diversity of competitors(men and women and native champions) and the NO HELP rule are highlights. Training and care of Iditarod dogs is emphasized. The logistics of food drops, checkpoints, veterinarian care, the Iditarod Air force and trail conditions inspire questions. Race Strategy and the changes to the Iditarod Race over Vern’s 25 years of racing elicit more dialogue. Clothing and survival gear along with sleds and equipment are topics that are backed up with actual gear demonstrations. Stories from the trail are exciting. Tough questions are considered and answered.

Susan’s partnership with the Dream a Dream dogs both as doctor and musher add to the depth of the presentation. She adds to the understanding of the Iditarod from a woman’s perspective. Her own wilderness abilities won her the coveted “Challenge of the North” award in her rookie Yukon Quest Race.

EDUCATIONAL, MOTIVATING AND INSPIRING! The challenges of Alaska’s “Last Great Race on Earth” from Vern, Susan and their dog’s perspective make this THE BEST IDITAROD PRESENTATION available! Your group will enjoy themselves and talk about it for days! Hundreds of Presentations with Rave Reviews-Call today
